Hersh, the signature series from Alezz Oud
By Atyab
Alezz Oud is not a perfume house like any other: it is first and foremost a specialist in oud in all its forms — raw wood, dahn al oud, incense. Sprayable perfumes came later, and it shows.
An oud house before being a perfume house
The core of Alezz Oud’s business is agarwood chips and oils. This culture of raw materials is reflected in its perfumes: dense bases, high concentrations, few concessions to freshness.
It is a different approach from that of a house like Reef, which primarily builds accessible compositions.
The Hersh series
Hersh is the house's line of sprayable perfumes. It consists of about fifteen references, all in 100 ml bottles, and each is built around a clear contrast rather than an accumulation of notes.
What characterizes them
- Short and legible pyramids — two to four materials per stage, never more.
- Systematically warm bases — amber, leather, vanilla, tobacco, oud.
- High concentration — one or two sprays are more than enough.
An example: Hersh Lahab
Hersh Lahab — whose name means “flame” in Arabic — perfectly illustrates this style: a fresh aromatic opening, basil and vetiver, which shifts towards a woody and spicy base. Fresh at first, dense in the end.
How to wear a Hersh
Like most Gulf perfumes: in small doses, and preferably on clothing. These compositions have high persistence; what seems subtle upon application will be clearly perceived an hour later.

For whom?
For those who want to approach oud perfumes and amber accords without getting lost in a catalog of hundreds of references. The line is short; that is precisely its strength.
Frequently asked questions
Are all Hersh perfumes oud-based?
No. Oud is present in several of them, but the series also covers aromatic, floral, and gourmand registers.
Are they unisex?
Yes, with the exception of one openly feminine reference. This is the norm in Gulf perfumery.
What is the difference with Reef perfumes?
Reef works on more accessible compositions and a very wide range of formats. Alezz Oud aims for density and sticks to a single format.
